Died: May 14, 2014 (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan)

ImageBill Gordon spent more than two decades promoting basketball in Saskatchewan. In 1983, he bacem president of the Saskatoon senior men’s league, helping it grow from 18 to 72 teams. He coached numerous community and high school basketball teams, including serving as an assistant on the 1992 provincial champions.

He started the Wildwood Basketball Camp, which is about to begin its 29th season.

Gordon worked as a referee beginning in 1976, spending eight seasons officiating men’s and women’s games in the Canada West division of interuniversity sports.

He was named to the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.
