Died: September 4, 2014 (Delta, British Columbia)
Member: Delta (B.C.) Sports Hall of Fame (2005)
Harry Langham was one of the inaugural inductees into the Delta Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. He was honoured for his role in building baseball and hockey teams in Delta, a suburb of Vancouver.
In 1964, he organized baseball teams in the Delta neighbourhoods of Ladner and Tsawwassen, creating an all-star team known as the Broncos which competed in provincial and Western Canadian tournaments. He bought the squad uniforms and cleats with his own money.
He formed the Delta Dodgers in 1977, a baseball program that lasted until 2005 and through which many athletes earned scholarships in the United States.
Langham also organized a hockey league, and served as president of the local golf club. He was the longtime owner of a sporting goods store called Tsawwassen Sports Unlimited.
