Ellwood W. (Louie) Hart
Born: August 28, 1928
Died: January 2, 2015 (Smiths Falls, Ontario)

For 62 consecutive years, Louie Hart coached minor hockey in Smiths Falls, Ont. He began teaching school teams in the town on the Rideau Canal in eastern Ontario in 1952. His longevity earned him many hours late in life, as he received congratulatory notes from Don Cherry, had his jacket and hockey gloves displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, and was honoured by the Ottawa Senators during a game in 2002.

Hart was named Smiths Falls sportsman of the year in 1968 at a dinner at which the guest speaker was Danny Gallivan, famed play-by-play man of the Montreal Canadiens.

Hart also coached minor baseball, beginning in 1958.
